THE SPOOKY SEASON IS HERE AND SO IS THE MOVIE MARATHON!
Hi Friends! A whole year away but we’re back for our favorite spooky season! We’ve crafted you a fun and thrill filled monthly watch-a-long, sure to delight and fright!
This year brought us MANY excellent horror movies – Obsession and Backrooms – I’m looking at you. We’ve curated a list of new and old movies to help you enjoy the holiday season! Let’s get into this years themes!
Salem Sunday – these are movies with a Witchy main character! Is she magic? Probably. Does she dabbled in the dark arts? Most likely. Was she burned at the stake in the early days? Yes. We love a leading lady – these witches are ready.
Maniac Monday – Movies with some real psychos, LIKE FOR REAL. Some characters you already know. *COUGH COUGH, Chucky. and hopefully some you’re not too familiar with. Like the dude from Longlegs – WHO THE F*CK? Anyways – watch and find out! Let’s unpack the unhinged.
Toxic Tuesday – We all know those types of relationships, where you wish they would figure it out and call it off. Unfortunately these folks are probably going to figure out their relationship is BAD-NEWS-BEARS TOO LATE. We can all scream at the TV together – DUMP HIS ASS, YOU’RE BETTER THAN HIM. Unless you’re under a One Wish Willow = IYKYK – that’s a curse you’d have to die for.
Water Wednesday – Are these waters calming? ABSOLUTELY NOT. These are movies that feature the scary side of water (A La Backside of water – Hi, jungle Book Cruisers!) Any who – there’s something in the water and it’s not friendly!
Time Travel Tuesday – Movies that feature a fun time travel element. GET IN LOSER, We’re going back in time to save people from MURDER! Buckle in – this time machine has one speed!
Final Girl Friday – Movies with our fave Final Girls! Did they make it to the end of the movie in one piece? Probs not – They’ve got trauma Babe. BUT THEY ARE SURVIVORS – now if only those pesky sequels left them in peace! BIG FIGHT THE PATRICHARY ENERGY COMING IN HOT – YOU GO GIRLS.
Silly Saturday – A SAFE PLACE FOR LITTLES! Come watch the fam friendly seasonal favorites with us! Easy, Nostalgic, and won’t keep you up at night! Let’s get Silly!
Well there you have it – THE WEEKLY LINE UP! We’re looking forward to settling in and enjoying this season, we hope our Halloween calendar brings joy, takes some guess work off your plate AND we get to chat about movies! What could be better? World Peace, A new President, Reproductive Healthcare for all… well I guess the movies aren’t the scariest things in the world. *Existential Dread*
